Theresa Norris McDuffie teaches Pre- K 3 at St. Dominic Catholic School since 2021.
Theresa was born in Dublin and raised in Waterford, Ireland. Theresa is married to Everett and made the move to East Tennessee in 2006. They have two wonderful children. Seán is a St. Dominic graduate and currently attends middle school at St. Anne Catholic School, Bristol. Síle (Sheila) attends St. Dominic school.
Theresa graduated with a diploma in nursing from Waterford Institute of Technology and received a Bachelors of Science degree in general nursing from Trinity College, Dublin. Even though her background is nursing, teaching has been a huge factor in her career. With these extensive skills, Theresa developed a grá for teaching which has led to her second career. Theresa has spent the past seven years at SDCS in various roles- parent, HASA president, volunteer, teacher aid, substitute teacher including developing SDCS K-5th grade LEGO STREAM program with the introduction of FIRST LEGO League Jnr and SDCS after school LEGO Club.
In 2021, Theresa embarked on a new academic journey in studying for her preschool center-based Child Development Associate certification. Theresa is quite the international traveler as her family are based in Ireland and Scotland. Furthermore, Theresa enjoys cooking, crafting, listening to music, cycling, watching sports (Golf, Rugby, Gaelic games, soccer and more recently College football), and is an adult fan of LEGO (AFOL).
